PHILADELPHIA - The second annual Inter-Ac Challenge, presented by NXTsports, has four nationally-ranked teams from three states competing in Friday night's semifinals at Villanova Stadium. The Inter-Ac Challenge, the nation’s best boys’ lacrosse postseason tournament, will crown its champion on Sunday night.

Top-seeded Culver Academy (Ind.) takes on No. 4 Lawrenceville School, the New Jersey Private “A” state champion, at 5 p.m., while defending national and Inter-Ac Challenge champion Haverford School (Pa.) squares off with Main Line rival No. 3 Malvern Prep (Pa.) under the lights at 7:30 p.m. The winning teams play on Sunday at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children, available at the door only and payable in cash only. The semifinals will be live streamed by Next Level Video, the country’s best sports filming company, at next-level-video.com.

Every team has spent a significant portion of time in the national rankings this year. Culver beat No. 9 Germantown Academy (Pa.), 15-4, on the strength of three goals and an assist from Denver signee Ethan Walker and Brown commit Wheaton Jackoboice. Lawrenceville handled rival No. 5 Hun School (N.J.), 12-10, thanks to a four-goal, seven-ground ball day from Villanova signee Connor Kirst.

Haverford impressively ousted No. 7 Penn Charter (Pa.), 13-4, after racing out to a 10-0 halftime lead. Virginia signee Dox Aitken and Notre Dame signee Tommy McNamara each had two goals and an assist for the Fords. Malvern used Penn signee Adam Goldner’s four tallies to handle No. 6 Episcopal Academy (Pa.). The Fords won the teams’ first two meetings this year en route to winning the Inter-Ac outright.
