3d Blue Chip: 2016 Midwest Regional Camp Day 3 Photos
The third day of the 3d Blue Chip Midwest Regional Camp finished up Sunday evening in Davenport, Florida at the Northeast Regional Park. It was the fourth part of the five-installment training camp series, which also helps serve as a feeder to Jake Reed's Nike Blue Chip camp held each summer outside of Baltimore. The camps feature an intense first day and half of training, followed by a series of games between the teams. Players from the classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020 were there this past weekend vying for spots at Jake Reed's camp.
This camp was filled mostly with players from the Midwestern U.S. and Canada, but with players from other areas as each weekend is still open to anyone from the five regions. It made for an great collection of talent, with more than 250 players competing in total. A panel of national evaluators carefully watched the players and work with them throughout the weekend. The coaches, including respected coaches from a wide range of lacrosse backgrounds, travel from all over the country to participate in the coaching and training.
3d Rising will be on hand at each of the five 3d Blue Chip camps, taking in the sights, carefully watching the players during instruction and scrimmages, networking with the coaches working the camp and taking action photos too. Lax.com is on hand vending the event’s custom Nike apparel, while Elevation Video is shooting the activity on the field (including the games).
Here’s a look at some of the action from Day 3 of the fourth weekend of the camp.
