I had the pleasure of taking in the second day of the Iroquois Nationals U-19 open tryouts, which were held this past Sunday. The weather was a perfect 55 degrees and sunny at the Nichols School in Buffalo. Approximately 80 players attended the tryout and the skill level was extremely high. This past weekend the first ever recruiting event to be held in an NFL stadium took place. The inaugural Ameri-Can Lacrosse Classic took place at Ralph Wilson Stadium in Orchard Park, N.Y., home of the Buffalo Bills. On Saturday two of the top high school prep programs met in what was dubbed the 'North America Crossover Clash.' I traveled down to Ithaca, N.Y. this past Saturday to take in the 23rd annual Turkeyshoot, which took place at Ithaca High School.
